A process for producing a cushioning material for packing, and packing cushioning material producing apparatus, capable of easily producing a packing cushioning material having a multiplicity of gas compartments with check valve; and a packing cushioning material of structure allowing the production process. The process comprises forming a linear cut on a film sheet to be positioned as an interlayer; subsequently, interposing a first fusion bonding preventive sheet between a superior layer and an interlayer and interposing a second fusion bonding preventive sheet between the interlayer and an inferior layer; carrying out press fusion bondings, from the side of opposite surface, of a check valve pattern to region interposed with the second fusion bonding preventive sheet and, further, a portion overlying a site of communication between the check valve pattern and supply channel to region interposed with the first fusion bonding preventive sheet; and thereafter, performing fusion bonding of all the layers of laminated film sheet in the state of being freed of the fusion bonding preventive sheets so as to provide gas compartments and supply channels. |
