According to the present invention, a curved backlight unit comprises: a light source module including a plurality of light sources, which generate light, and a printed circuit board on which the plurality of light sources are arranged; and a bottom chassis including a floor portion, which accommodates the light source module. Optical distances of the light sources from the floor portion are longer in an outer portion of the bottom chassis than a central portion of the bottom chassis. Therefore, the curved backlight unit improves a dark portion defect in a side to uniformly provide light to a liquid crystal panel.
