EXTENSION TURNTABLE FOR SUBMARINE CABLE

The present invention relates to an extension turntable for a submarine cable. The turntable for a submarine cable is to wind a submarine cable to transfer the submarine cable. The turntable for a submarine cable includes: a winding unit having an upper space and a lower space divided to wind the submarine cable; a frame unit erected and installed at an outer edge of the winding unit; and a driving unit providing a rotation driving force to the winding unit by being installed in the lower part of the winding unit. Therefore, the winding unit is divided into an upper winding space and a lower winding space so that the submarine cable is continuously wound and separately loaded on the upper part and the lower part of the winding unit. So, the extension turntable for a submarine cable increases a winding amount of the submarine cable wound on the winding unit in a limited space of a vessel and reduces the size of the turntable. Therefore, the extension turntable for a submarine cable reduces transfer costs of the submarine cable and improves support strength of the winding unit.
