An embedded touch screen and a display apparatus. The principle of a self-capacitance is used to multiplex a common electrode layer as a self-capacitance electrode (02); the pattern of the common electrode layer is changed and segmented into a plurality of mutually independent self-capacitance electrodes (02); touch control data lines (03) which connect various self-capacitance electrodes (02) to a touch screen detection chip (04) are added on an array substrate (100), wherein the orthographic projections of the various touch control data lines (03) on the array substrate (100) are all located in a region where a gap between pixel regions (01) is located, and are shielded by a black matrix in the touch screen so as not to affect the aperture ratio of pixels; and the touch screen detection chip (04) can judge a touch control location by detecting changes in capacitance values of the various self-capacitance electrodes (02) in a touch control period. On the basis of an existing substrate preparation process, no extra process needs to be added.
