This present invention relates to a method of culturing cells, wherein the cell culture media comprises a body fluid preferably derived from the same species as the cells being cultured. The body fluid may be derived from the same subject as the cells being cultured, thereby providing a reflection of the in vivo cellular environment. The invention also relates to a media for use in culturing cells in vitro. The cells may be cancer cells.
