PURPOSE:To obtain a smaller and high-performance detection sensor by confining a light transmittable fluid substance into a container and measuring directions of movements of the substance by an optical means. CONSTITUTION:This sensor has a spherical container 1 having an external wall suited to be carried on an equipment, an insulating element holding device 3 disposed on the external wall, at least four photo detectors R supported by the holding device 3' a light source S which projects light to the elements R positioned at the center of the container 1, a fluid substance 2 that moves accord ing to the direction at which light projected from the light source S sealed into the container 1 functions on the equipment and an arithmetic circuit which computes outputs of the elements R varying according to the moving direction of the substance 2. Thus, a change in direction of acceleration appears as move ment of the fluid substance within the spherical container and the movement causes a light transmittance change between a light emitting element at the light source and the photo detectors disposed within the container and thus, by measuring the quantity of light received with the photo detectors, the height of the liquid can be learned. |
