<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition enhancing the production of a beta NGF (beta nerve growth factor), thereby promoting survival and functional maintenance of a neurocyte, carrying out prophylaxis or amelioration of aging of the nervous system, performing the prophylaxis of degeneration and omission of the cell itself and preventing or ameliorating progression of neuropathy for the neurocyte undergoing disorders, and having high beta NGF production promoting activity. <P>SOLUTION: The composition having the beta NGF production promoting activity is characterized by being obtained from a crushed material or a solvent extract of a fruit body or a mycelium of Pholiota lenta (FERM P-21344, 21345 and 21346). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
