<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven compressor for supplying supercharging air to a cylinder of an internal combustion engine, in a motor-driven air compressor for supplying compressed air, in various industrial processes. <P>SOLUTION: The motor-driven compressor has a motor 13 supported by a motor range housing part 16, a compressor wheel 11 driven by a motor in a housing second part 17 forming a pressurizing surrounding part, and a means 20 forming a motor cooling air flow to a motor surrounding housing part from a pressurizing compressor housing part.
