PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture image forming device for preventing skew nevertheless of the surface condition of a recording medium. SOLUTION: A gear 302 is fixed to one end part in the longitudinal direction of a roll shaft 62, and is fitted into the groove 54a of a roll holding member 54 to be engaged with a gear 304. The end part of the shaft 62 is fitted into the groove 56a of a roll holding member 56. Mounting a roll paper 14a engages the gears 302 and 304 with each other, to normally (reversely) rotate a paper feeding drive motor 306, thereby normally (reversely) rotating the shaft 62, to feed (rewind) the paper 14a.
