The fastening for workpieces to a work-bench (3) consists of a clamp element (15) one end of which is movably mounted on a base (2), while the other end is clamped to the workpiece. The clamp element is displaced in parallel formation from a non-operating to a clamping position by means of at least one pair of swivel levers (13,14) connected to toothed edges (11,12).
