The invention provides a fabric (10) comprising a porous layer (15) that is porous in the direction along the layer, the porous layer including fibres (16) extending across the layer, whereby, in use, fluid (A) is arranged to b e driven along the porous layer in the general extent of the layer. The fabric allows heat from a body in contact with the fabric to be carried along the porous layer, thereby efficiently cooling the body. The invention also provides articles comprising the fabric, such as clothing. Advantageously, t he fabric is lightweight, flexible and non-bulky, and provides efficient coolin g of the body. |
