<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image distribution system, an image distribution server, and an image distribution method whereby an image of acquired image data can be viewed from an image display browser installed on a PC or the like by using a function widely provided to an existing image storage device without the need for provision of an exclusive function to the image storage device such as a camera so as to easily and surely acquire the image data from the image storage device without the need for complicated operations. <P>SOLUTION: When a data transfer button 57b of the image distribution server 40 is depressed, the image distribution server 40 supplies a USB bus power as a switching signal to the digital camera 10 provided with a storage section for storing the image data to bring the digital camera 10 to a mass storage mode.
