An illuminative light communication system is described, which comprises: a plurality of lighting units (502) that emits light for lighting; and an optical communication unit (501) that optically transmits data through the air to the lighting units; wherein the lighting units (502) receive light from the optical communication unit, thereby capturing data, and modulate emitted light in accordance with the data.
