<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which carries out exposure control at high speed, with hardly missing imaging opportunity, even when taking an image immediately after carrying around with the imaging apparatus turned on. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus which takes an image of a subject and generates image data includes a motion detecting section 104c for detecting the motion of the imaging apparatus, and an exposure control section 104d for controlling the exposure of the imaging apparatus continuously.
