PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and satisfactorily maintain the outward appearance. SOLUTION: The display device has the flat-screen display main part 1 supported by a stand 4 via a hinge 2, wherein the stand 4 has a flat planar base plate 7 comprising a sheet metal, and an underframe 7A of an approximately U shape in cross section is formed by extrusion molding upward the central part of the base plate 7. The upper surface of the underframe 7A is formed as a hinge fixing surface 7a. The hinge fixing surface 7a is inclined at a prescribed inclination angleβtoward the rear side with respect to a horizontal virtual line H passing a front edge 7b of the hinge fixing surface 7a. The opposing angleαbetween the front 1a of the display main part 1 fixed via the hinge 2 to the hinge fixing surface 7a and a lower face 7c of the base plate 7 is set greater by the inclination angleβfrom 90°.
