PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact zoom lens excellently correcting color aberration in a telephoto photographing region and having excellent optical performance. SOLUTION: The zoom lens has a plurality of lens groups including a positive refractive power first lens group G1, a negative refractive power second lens group G2, a third lens group G3, and a fourth lens group G4 in order from an object side. The third lens group G3 has a first positive lens L31 of the third lens group, a negative lens L32 of the third lens group, and a second positive lens L33 of the third lens group to satisfy prescribed conditions.
