PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector with a structure in which a workability in a process for locking coupling between mutually mating connectors of the electrical connector can be improved. SOLUTION: The electrical connector is provided with a wire side connector 1, 201, a base board side connector 2, 202, and locking members 121, 321 for locking a coupling status of each of these connectors. The locking members 121, 321 project from a base body 123, 323 and have holding portions 124, 125, 324 for regulating a position of the coupling status of the connectors and projected portions 122, 322. The projected portions 122, 322 are supported slidable on the base board side connectors 2, 202 by supporting members 151, 332, 333. Since hooking portions 130, 325, 326 provided on the projected portions 122, 322 contact with a part of receptacle housings 101, 301, the locking members 121, 321 do not come off from the receptacle housings 101, 301.
