Provided are a wear resistant material which is low in cost and exhibit excellent wear resistance, a puffer cylinder, and a puffer-type gas circuit breaker. The wear resistant material according to the present invention includes: a substrate (6) which is made of pure aluminum or an aluminum alloy and has an uneven structure on the surface; and an aluminum hydrated oxide film (22) provided on the surface of the substrate (6), wherein the aluminum hydrated oxide film (22) has, on the surface thereof, an uneven structure (24) that is finer than the uneven structure of the substrate. |
