The invention relates to the devices for water purification and can be used in the systems of potable and industrial water supply. A filter includes a housing with a cover and a bottom, a central vertical tube with the upper drainage-distributive system, an anthracitic-quartz bed, a supporting layer from granite crushed stone, a false bottom with the lower drainage-distributive system, a collector for supply of compressed air, branch pipes for removal of filtrate and supply of rinsing water, an air escape valve, a hatchway for supply in the filter of grainy bed, a nozzle for hydraulic unloading and service hatchway. The invention provides increase of efficiency of purification of water with increase of efficiency of rinsing the grainy bed, and also simplification of operation of the filter as a whole.
