Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention is a method for protecting position information of an intelligent terminal. The method comprises: in response to a position query request from an APP, obtaining a current position coordinate of an intelligent terminal; obtaining a privacy-sensitive level of an area corresponding to the current position coordinate; obtaining a position trust level of the APP; according to the position trust level of the APP and the privacy-sensitive level of the area corresponding to the current position coordinate, determining a response method corresponding to the position query request from the APP. Further, also disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention is an intelligent terminal. A solution disclosed in the present invention can strongly protect the position information of the intelligent terminal.
