PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case body connecting method capable of preventing leakage of fluid by interposing packing between a plurality of case bodies, and preventing fluid leakage from a fluid pipe when the packing is damaged and the packing is slipped out of a packing groove, when connecting the case bodies.SOLUTION: Spacer members 5a and 5b are interposed between a plurality of case bodies 11 and 12, for preventing approach of mutual opposed surfaces 14a and 15a when preparatorily arranging the mutual opposed surfaces 14a and 15a of adjacent connecting flanges 14 and 15. After positioning the mutual opposed surfaces 14a and 15a of the adjacent connecting flanges 14 and 15 in the pipe axis direction, the spacer members 5a and 5b release abutment of the mutual case bodies 11 and 12, the mutual opposed surfaces 14a and 15a are approached and the packing 4 between the opposed surfaces 14a and 15a is brought into pressure contact with each other, and the mutual connecting flanges 14 and 15 are sandwiched by a holding member 61, so that the plurality of case bodies 11 and 12 are connected. |
