In the plant cultivation system according to the present invention: each illuminating device (30) is in such a shape that a cross section thereof parallel to the vertical direction inclines downward along a direction away from a virtual line (CL), said virtual line (CL) passing through the center (C) in the horizontal direction of a cultivation container (20) and being along the vertical direction; and a gap is formed between the end part of the illuminating device (30) on the virtual line (CL) side and another cultivation container (20) that is positioned above the cultivation container (20) corresponding to the illuminating device (30). Thus, an increase in temperature around a plant can be suppressed.
