<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a (Li, Na, K)(Nb, Ta)O<SB>3</SB>based piezoelectric/electrostrictive ceramic composition capable of sintering at a low temperature, and good in electric field-induced strain when a high electric field is impressed at a temperature for practical use. <P>SOLUTION: A piezoelectric/electrostrictive film 122 of a piezoelectric/electrostrictive actuator 1, is a sintered product of the composition. The composition has an ABO<SB>3</SB>-type composition formula containing lithium (Li), sodium (Na) and potassium (K) as first elements; niobium (Nb) and tantalum (Ta) as second elements; and O as a third element. Wherein the ratio of the total number of atoms of the first elements over that of the second elements (so-called A/B ratio) is more than 1; the ratio of the number of atoms of Ta in the total number of atoms of the second elements is ≥10 mol% and ≤50 mol%; and a perovskite-type oxide comprising the first elements as A site constituent elements and the second elements as B site constituent elements, is contained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
