PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve configured to reduce noise generated in a valve chamber to which a high pressure refrigerant is introduced.SOLUTION: An entrance passage 20 of a high pressure refrigerant provided in a valve body 10 of an expansion valve communicates with a valve chamber 30 via a minor diameter part 22. A valve body 40 is arranged to face a valve seat 42 in the valve chamber 30. The refrigerant passing an orifice 44 goes to an evaporator from an outlet passage 50. A valve support member 60 for supporting the valve body 40 is biased toward a closed valve by a coil spring 62. A spring cover member 100 for covering the coil spring 62 forms an annular refrigerant rectification passage Gbetween the inner circumferential surface of the valve chamber 30. The high pressure refrigerant introduced to the valve chamber 30 is guided to the refrigerant rectification passage Gto be rectified, thereby preventing turbulent flow, forming microbubbles in the refrigerant, and reducing noise. |
