PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process a particular substance in an exhaust gas with a novel constitution.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purification device 10 according to the present invention comprises a flow generation device 16 and a processing device 18. The flow generation device 16 comprises a discharge electrode 20 arranged inside a cylindrical outer shell 12 forming a flow passage 14 where an exhaust gas including a particular substance circulates. The discharge electrode is configured to generate a flow of the particular substance from the discharge electrode side to the outer shell side. The processing device 18 comprises a space defining member 40 and a processing electrode 30d. The space defining member 40 is arranged between the discharge electrode and the outer shell to define a processing space 40s with the outer shell and also to allow the particular substance to flow in the space. When the particular substance is processed, a voltage is applied to the processing electrode 30d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
