<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device capable of suppressing a submarine phenomenon of an occupant sitting on a vehicle seat. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt device of this invention for constraint the occupant 1 to a vehicle seat 2 provided with a seating part 2a on which the occupant 1 sits and a back rest part 2b positioned at a back of the occupant 1 is provided with a main seat belt mechanism S1 having a main seat belt 3 having a wrap belt part 3a for binding a waist part of the occupant 1 and a shoulder belt part 3b for binding his/her shoulder part and a main retractor 4 for winding and rewinding a main seat belt 3 and an auxiliary seat belt mechanism S2 having an auxiliary seat belt 5 connected with the wrap belt part 3a and an auxiliary retractor 6 for winding and rewinding the auxiliary seat belt 5.
