A minature electric switch has a base (10) and at least one movable switch element (60, 61). The base (10) is pref. of plastics material with the desired mechancial, electrical and thermal properties. The base (10) has horizontal openings (11, 12) for fastening. It also has vertical openings (13, 14, 15) to receive contact elments (16, 17, 18). To assemble, the contact elements (16, 17, 18) are first pushed into the base (10). Then the movable switch elements (60, 61) are mounted. These have upper (62) and lower (63) contacts and blades (64, 65) at each end to fit in corresp. slots (64b, 65b). The switch elements (60, 61) have widened portions (64c, 65c, 78, 79, 168, 169) which cooperate with the lower contact (65) to ensure correct spatial positioning of the switch (60, 61) relative to the base (10). USE/ADVANTAGE - For miniature switching circuits. Enables fully automatic assembly process at minimal expense.
