PURPOSE:To obtain the title treating agent containing a copolymerized emulsion obtained by subjecting oil-in water type emulsion of organopolysiloxane to emulsion polymerization with a specific mixed monomer in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator and having excellent stain preventing ability. CONSTITUTION:(A) Oil-in water type emulsion of 5-95 pts.wt. organopolysiloxane expressed by formula I (R<1> to R<3> are 1-20C hydrocarbon group or halogenated hydrocarbon group; Y is radically reactive group or SH-containing organic group) X is H, lower alkyl, etc.; (m) is <=10000; (n) is >=1) is subjected to emulsion polymerization with (B) 95-5 pts.wt. mixed monomer consisting of (i) 70-99wt.% one or more monomers from (meth)acrylic monomers expressed by formula II (R<5> is H or methyl; R<6> is 1-18C alkyl, etc.), (ii) 1-20wt.% one or more monomers from ethylene-based unsaturated amide and allyl acrylate, etc., (iii) 1-20wt.% one or more monomers from ethylene-based unsaturated monomer other than the components i and ii to afford a copolymerized emulsion. As necessary, other additive is added to the copolymerized emulsion to provide the objective treating agent. |
