PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry-type ammonia removal apparatus wherewith ammonia in a gasification gas can be removed by a dry method and the amt. of water supplied at a water washing tower can be greatly decreased. SOLUTION: This apparatus has a feed mixer 12 for mixing a gasification gas 2 contg. ammonia with a gas 3 contg. hydrogen chloride, a cooler 14 for cooling the resultant gas mixture to a temp. at which ammonia reacts with hydrogen chloride, and a dry separator 16 for dry-separating a solid component resulting from the reaction. Ammonia and hydrogen chloride in the same amts. are supplied and mixed,with the feed mixer 12; thus obtd. gas mixture is cooled to about 100-180 deg.C with the cooler 14 to react ammonia with hydrogen chloride; and the resultant solid ammonium chloride is separated and removed with the dry separator. |
