PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit gradation plotting processing, with a low load, for arranging an opened curve while parallelly moving it in the change direction of a color and changing the color. SOLUTION: The gradation plotting is designated by analyzing plotting data designating two points on a plotting plane, the colors at the respective points and the shape of a closed curve from an inputted printing job through an instruction analytic means 1. When a plotting instruction is analyzed, a plotting means 2 expands a gradation pattern while utilizing a gradation pattern expanding means 4. At such a time, the color at the crossing position between a scanning line and the border of a band-shaped area in a plotting area is found based on the plotting data preserved in a plotting data holding means 3, next, the position to change the color is found, and this is repeated to the end of the plotting area. At a gradation pattern correcting means 5, the change position of the color is corrected by respectively finding the border of the band-shaped area and the difference in the direction of the scanning line from a waveform. This processing is applied to all the scanning lines crossing the plotting area. |
