An apparatus for unlatching a vehicle door is provided to safely release a locked door by detecting a touch or an access to the door instead of manipulating a door handle. First through fourth photo sensors(22,24,26,28) are implemented inside a door. First through fourth door latch actuators(32,34,36,38) control first through fourth driving motors(42,44,46,48) to control lock/unlock status of door lock latches. A door latch/unlatch switch(50) controls status of the door latch. A gear position detector(60) detects speed positions of a gear. A brake operating switch(70) detects operation status of a brake. A controller(10) receives signals from the first through fourth photo sensors and uses the signals from the door latch/unlatch switch, gear position detector, and the brake manipulation switch to control the first through fourth door latch actuators. A power source(80) supplies power to the components. |
