Chain comprises a chain bolt (6) with two circular sections (8, 9) structured so that additional play (19) is formed between an inner wall (7) of an opening (4) and the chain bolt. The play decreases along a vertical axis (22) corresponding to the arc-shaped structure of the circular sections. The play is lowest on the connecting region (23) of the two circular sections so that the chain bolt moves in the opening according to the load on the chain in the longitudinal direction of a chain part (16). Preferred Features: The chain bolt has a changing cross-section in the transverse direction.
