<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital printing system suitable to a POD (print on demand) environment and the like and capable of maximally improving productivity of a plurality of jobs. <P>SOLUTION: In this printing system, the printer includes a printing means capable of executing print processing of data in a storage means capable of storing data of a plurality of jobs, while a sheet processing device includes a sheet processing means capable of executing sheet processing on a sheet of a job, for which printing is carried out by the printing means, and the sheet of the job, for which print processing is carried out by the printing means, can be supplied from the printing means to the sheet processing means. When a plurality of jobs requiring print processing by the printing means and sheet processing on the sheet, on which printing is carried out by the print processing, execution of print processing required by a second job can be carried out by the printing means if sheet processing required by a first job is being carried out in the printing system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
