PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a papermaking method by examining a useful dissolving method of a water-soluble polymer dispersion in salt water to improve the yield of a raw material on wire in the papermaking, and adding the dispersion to a papermaking stock. SOLUTION: The papermaking method includes dissolving a water-soluble polymer in a concentration within the range of 0.2-1.0 mass%, mixing dilution water therewith, adding the diluted solution, and carrying out the papermaking when dissolving a dispersion composed of a water-soluble polymer fine particles obtained by dispersing and polymerizing a monomer containing a specific cationic monomer and (meth)acrylamide in an aqueous salt solution in the presence of a polymer dispersing agent dissolved in the aqueous salt solution, in the papermaking stock before papermaking.
