PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersant for obtaining a pigment composition excellent in dispersibility, flowability, and storage stability at a small using amount, and to provide a graft type dispersant which is excellent in a non-aggregating property and flowability, has good dispersibility and stability, and is suitable for offset inks, gravure inks, resist inks for color filters, ink-jet inks, coatings, colored resin compositions, and the like. SOLUTION: Provided is the graft type dispersant prepared by addition-reacting 0.5 to 0.95 mole of carboxyl groups in a vinylic polymer (b) having one free carboxyl group in one end region to the total one mole of primary and secondary amino groups in a primary and/or secondary amino group-having polymer (a).
