PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce a cost and man-hours accompanying introduction of an uninterruptible power supply and reduce an installation space.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: power storage means for storing a power supplied from an external AC power supply; uninterruptible power supply means for supplying the power stored in the power storage means to parts in the apparatus during interruption of the external AC power supply; power supply means for supplying a power to an external apparatus; and control means for performing control of stopping supply of power with either one of the uninterruptible power supply or the power supply means when loads on the parts of the apparatus and the external apparatus exceed the amount of power supplied from the power storage means during interruption of the external AC power supply.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
