PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key management system which manages a key to be held in a vehicle such as an automobile and performs update.SOLUTION: A key management server device 10 stores key management data of a latest key which is applied to an automobile 1 and transmits the updated key encrypted by using the latest key applied to the automobile 1 which is specified by the key management data to a management device 20 provided with the automobile 1, in the update of the key applied to the automobile 1. The management device 20: holds the latest key applied to the automobile 1; receives the encrypted and updated key from the key management server device 10; performs decryption by using the latest key which holds the received and encrypted latest key; and updates the held latest key in accordance with the decryption result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
