<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain excellent sealability over a long period, by preventing foreign matter X mixedly existing in a sealing object oil from intervening in a sliding part S of a seal lip 13. <P>SOLUTION: This sealing device has a nonrotatable oil seal 1A having the seal lip 13 of slidably bringing an inner peripheral part into close contact with an outer peripheral surface of a rotary body 3 facing the space side in which a sealing object fluid exists, and a foreign matter cutoff seal 1B positioned on the turning side of the tip of the seal lip 13 and installed on the rotary body 3. The foreign matter cutoff seal 1B has a slinger part 16b forming a conical surface inclined to the space side in which the sealing object fluid exists to a plane orthogonal to the axis O, and a cover part 16c positioned on the oil seal 1A side more than the slinger part and having the tip opposed in close vicinity in the axial direction to the oil seal 1A by extending so as to surround the outer peripheral side of the seal lip 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
