The present invention provides a display device in which a light guide plate is prevented from closely abutting against an optical sheet, and the light guide plate is protected from damage, thereby satisfactorily suppressing a white-dot defect resulting from light leakage due to damage. A display module (10) of a TV receiver is provided with: a rectangular display panel (8) having a screen in the front thereof; a rectangular optical sheet (5) disposed behind the display panel (8); a light guide plate (2) that is rectangular and disposed behind the optical sheet (5); and an LED (71) disposed so as to face a lateral surface of the light guide plate (2). The light guide plate (2) has, on the optical sheet (5) side, a plurality of beads (protrusions) (32) for preventing the light guide plate (2) from closely abutting against the optical sheet (5). |
