The invention relates to electrode industry, namely to a graphite material intended for manufacturing of graphite articles used as electrodes for steelmaking and ore-smelting furnaces, cathodes for aluminum production and lining material. The graphite material based on the graphite composition and a component in non-graphite coal form contains artificial graphite as graphite, and the component in non-graphite coal form is distributed in the volume of artificial graphite and is amorphous carbon prepared by thermal treatment of the product of thermal processing of the atmospheric distillation rest of purified crude shale oil or its mix with the product of thermal processing of the rest of coal tar distillation. The invention provides for increasing of operation properties of articles of claimed material. |
