A rotating electric machine is constituted by: an armature core (21) having a slot (213) formed between respective magnetic pole teeth (212); a stator (20) having a plurality of coils (230) wound over the magnetic pole teeth (212); and a rotor (30) equipped with a plurality of permanent magnets (33) disposed at intervals on the outer circumferential surface of a magnetic yoke (31). A coil group (23) comprises: an armature coil (231) for driving the rotating electric machine (10); and a non-armature coil (232) for magnetizing or demagnetizing the permanent magnets (33) of the rotor (30).
