PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably achieve acceleration for uplink speed in optical communication of an optical beacon.SOLUTION: The present invention is related to an optical beacon 4 which performs wireless communication with an on-board device 2 on a traveling vehicle 20 using optical signals. The optical beacon 4 includes: an optical reception section 11 capable of performing photo-electric conversion at two kinds (high and low) of transmission speed; an optical transmission section 10 capable of performing electro-optical conversion at prescribed transmission speed; and a communication control section (beacon controller 7) which adds beacon identification information being an effect that own device is a new optical beacon 4A corresponding to high speed uplink reception to downlink frames DL1 and DL2 which are downlink-transmitted by the optical transmission section 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
