<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container suitable for heating foodstuffs in it by a heating device such as a microwave oven or the like, and also to provide a lid body used for the container. <P>SOLUTION: The lid body 1, which is used to close the opening of the body of the container 3 for storing and heating foodstuffs, includes a raised peripheral region configured to define a periphery contour configuration of the lid body 1 and to be engaged with a marginal part of the container 3 for forming the opening of the container 3, and a raised region within a region surrounded by the raised peripheral region. The raised region includes a hole 121 for discharging liquid in the container 3 and a flap 22 having a protrusion for closing the hole 121. The flap 22 includes a base end part integrally connected with the raised region to make the flap 22 rotatable around the base end part.
