PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator type parking device and a control method thereof capable of traversing a pallet only by one unit of a traverse device on a cage, and accordingly, reducing overall weight of the cage, downsizing a motor of a cage lifting device, performing energy-saving and shortening of an entering and leaving time of a vehicle, and capable of also performing advance entering and advance leaving by horizontally turning the pallet without releasing engagement of the pallet with the traverse device.SOLUTION: A traverse device 16 comprises a traverse frame 16a installed so as to be separable upward in a center in the longitudinal direction of a cage 12. A lift device 20 comprises a turning support part 22 which is lifted up to a lift position, when the cage 12 is positioned on the lowest end, supports a pallet 2 and separates the pallet from the cage 12, and further comprises a separation support device 30 (a separation support shaft) for separating the traverse frame 16a upward from the cage 12 and supporting the traverse frame so as not to be turned when being lifted, and a turning connection device 34 (a turning pin 35a and a turning plate 35b) for connecting a traverse arm 17a to the turning support part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
