摘要 The method involves applying electrical stress to terminals of an electrode-membrane assembly of a diagnosed fuel cell, where slew rate of the electrical stress is lower than or equal to 1500 millivolt per second. Electrical response of the electrode-membrane assembly is measured by measuring voltage in an open circuit at the terminals of the assembly or by measuring intensity in a closed circuit at the terminals of the assembly. The assembly is completely discharged before applying the stress to the terminals of the assembly. An independent claim is also included for a device for diagnosing a fuel cell.
