RECLAMATION OF THERMOSETTING RESIN MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a pellet with a small particle size containing a large amount of a thermosetting resin and formed into a molded product of high quality having high strength by a method wherein a thermosetting resin such as SMC waste is finely ground and the ground resin is sandwiched between two thermoplastic resin sheets to be bonded under heating and pressure to be pelletized. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin A such as SMC waste finely ground into a micron range is equally scattered over the lower thermoplastic resin sheet 2 composed of polypropylene horizontally delivered from a reel 1 at a constant flow rate by a vibration feeder 8. The resin A is guided to heating press rollers 3 along with the resin sheet 2 and bonded in a sandwich state along with an upper thermoplastic resin sheet 4 supplied from above under pressure at the time of the passage through the nip of the rollers 3. The obtained resin sheet 11 is cut into pieces of a predetermined length to be pelletized. When this pellet is subjected to injection molding, a molded product of high quality having high strength can be obtained.
