PURPOSE:To obtain readily sinterable and inexpensive magnetic oxide powder small in particle size and high in surface activity. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic oxide powder of general formula, MeF2O4 (Me is at least one kind of divalent metallic element among Ni, Zn, Cu, Mn and Co) is obtained by carrying a multiple carbonate of the above-mentioned metallic element(s) on and immobilizing the compound onto the surface of alpha-FeOOH powder followed by heat treatment. |
