PURPOSE:To provide a dilator for an organism tube, which v' replace a balloon, has no danger of an explosion, and can control the change of an outside diameter in high accuracy, by comprising a cylindrical compact using a plate made of a shape memory alloy and memorizing the diameter of the contracted balloon on the side of a lower temperature and one of the expanded balloon on the side of a higher temperature. CONSTITUTION:This dilator for an organism tube comprises a cylindrical compact 1 using a plate made of a shape memory alloy, and a plurality of grooves 11 are longitudinally formed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical compact 1. On the side of a lower temperature than a body temperature, the grooves 11 memorize the state of the contracted diameter and on the side of a prescribed temperature which is higher than the body temperature, the grooves 11 memorize the state of the balloon diameter so that the expanded diameter can be formed on the base of the change of the shape to the state to be lost. An optical fiber 2 for supplying the compact 1 with a heat wave such as infrared laser is mounted on one of the side walls 12 of the compact 1. This provides the dilator which can control the change of the outer shape in high accuracy. |
