<p>The reed holder and retainer has at least two opposed jaws or portions of jaws (2) which can be applied at preset points to the lateral edges (1) of two plates (1') which form the double reed (1). The two jaws or parts of jaws are mounted on or extend from a ring (4) round the reed, and the pressure applied by them can be adjusted by a regulator (3). The jaws have inner surfaces that match the edges of the reed plates and are covered with a supple or resilient material.</p> |
