PURPOSE: A method of producing rice containing herbal components of yukmijihwangtang which is described in the book of Eastern Medicare and has treating effect on hypertension and complications associated with hypertension by soaking rice in the herbal extract and then drying is provided. The product is effective for treatment of adult disease. CONSTITUTION: To make the rice containing herbal components of yukmijihwangtang, rice is washed with water 3 to 4 times and soaked in the herbal extract for 12hr while turning upside down every 2hr and then dried for a predetermined period of time. For an example, 80g of Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, 40g of Rhizoma Dioscoreae, 40g of Corni Fructus, 30g of Rhizoma Alismatis, 30g of Moutan Cortex Radicis, 30g of Hoelen, 30g of Citrus Unshiu peel, 30g of Fritillariae Bulbus, 30g of Phellodendri Cortex and 30g of Rhizoma Anemarrhenae are mixed with 5L of water and extracted at 100deg.C for 3hr. Then, 800g of rice is mixed with 320g of the herbal extract while turning upside down every 2hr and dried with hot air at 60deg.C. The treated rice is mixed with 400g of the herbal extract and then dried.
